⚠️ INFORMATION

Good practice guide at Chateau de Meillant
You would like to spend some time at Château de Meillant, a private residence listed as a Historic Monument. We ask you to take note of this guide to ensure that your activities take place in complete tranquillity.
Park visit
- The park requires special care. The lawns are protected areas; they should be preserved without being trampled. The same applies to all plant and animal species, which must be preserved.
- Ashtrays are available at each seating area, so please do not wander the aisles with a lit cigarette. A fire only needs a small ember to start.
Traffic and parking
- You will enter through the ticket office gate - this is where your tickets will be given to you as you pass through - and leave through the Vénerie gate.
- Only the aisles are traffic zones (no wheels on the lawns).
You must park your vehicles in the courtyard in front of the château so that you do not immediately find yourself under the balconies and gargoyles; the doors of the two towers must remain open for the visit of the château.
- As a precautionary measure, please remember to lock your vehicles, as the Château cannot be held responsible for your actions.
Stewardship and practical information
- Toilets: toilets and water are available at the ticket office on the ground floor.
- Picnics: there are two areas set aside for picnics, away from the visitor circuit (on request: Vénerie if there are many or patio after the miniatures pavilion).
- Rubbish: no rubbish will be allowed to remain on site; it must be disposed of in the containers provided. Black for food, yellow for packaging.
